With iSpeech Text to Speech simply upload any supported document (Word, PowerPoint, PDF etc) or type in your text directly and convert it to audio (1 minute maximum). You get to choose the voice, male or female, and language and can then listen to, share, embed or download the file. This resource, while slow to convert text, would be useful for creating short dictations or podcasts. As well as the online version there is also a mobile app.

You or your students can create podcasts with any listening content - a story you read out loud, a set of instructions, a description of an event, a list of vocabulary, streaming audio played through your computer such as internet radio (see above) etc. Record this content using a free program such as Audacity (download for Mac/PC) or GarageBand (already on Mac).
