Edmodo enables students to get quick answers to questions and stay up to date on class assignments and events via the student planner and discussion threads. The planner also helps them to manage deadlines. Teachers can upload assignment tasks, monitor student progress and personalize the learning or simply use the app to post a warm-up question, and take a poll to quickly assess student understanding. Edmodo supports a paperless classroom by enabling the digital collection, grading, and return of student assignments. One point of difference with other LMS apps is the ability to communicate with parents via a dedicated parent app. |

Imvoto Learn is an online tool that enables teachers to create assessment masters (ie collections of questions) mapped to their curriculum. Teachers can create questions from scratch or discover and re-use other teachers' questions. Assessments can be assigned to nominated groups or to individual students (so you can personalize the learning!). When your students log in to the Imvoto Learn app they will see the title of the assessment they need to work on. As students work their way through the assessment, teachers can use the questions screen to get an overview of how they are getting on. ClassDojo helps teachers to improve student behaviour in their classrooms quickly and easily. It captures and generates data on behaviour that can be shared. Teachers can use this app to give students real-time feedback on their behaviour while in class – if they display the ClassDojo website on an interactive whiteboard the app syncs with it straight away. Teachers can set up their classes either through the app or online at the ClassDojo website and then use the app on their mobile phone or iPad to record behaviours as they are moving around the classroom. One great feature of this tool is that teachers can customize the positive and negative behaviours they are focusing on. They can also send a parent code to parents so that they can see their child’s progress. Check out this series of YouTube videos that demonstrate some of the features of ClassDojo. |
